About The Book

The Book When God Made You is a Children’s Book written in a poetic form with matching illustrations geared towards a younger audience. Each page encourages children to be confident in how God made them and to know that they are special in God’s eyes.

This book inspires children to know that they are unique, just the way they are and that they do not have to bend to the pressures of society to become someone or something different than how God designed them to be. The colorful illustrations captivate children’s attention while the words aim to build their self-confidence and self-love in who they are and whose they are. The rhythmic poetic words on each page are designed to eventually have the child memorize each encouraging word just for them. About the Author

Joi Richards is a disciple of Jesus Christ who uses her gifts through her writing, poetry, and encouraging others in the faith by ministering the Gospel to all age groups.

Joi Richards has years of experience working with children both in and out of the classroom. When she was 7 years old her father who was also her Pastor introduced her to the unconditional love that Jesus Christ has for her and taught her how valuable she was and still is in God’s eyes. Joi truly believes that building faith and a sense of purpose in children while they are young, are the building blocks to having better mental health and a stronger sense of self-worth as an adult. What inspired her to write the children’s book When God Made You was the rising cases of mental health in children, and the desire to instill godly principles in our future. Joi wants all children to know that they do not have to succumb to the world system rules to change how God made them, or to let go of morality to fit in, instead Joi encourages children to be confident in who they are, and to know that they are not a mistake, nor were they created by accident, but they are truly special, and are exactly how God designed them to be, and to know that God has a great plan and purpose for their lives.
